Balitsky, the head of the Zaporizhzhia region appointed by the Russian side, announced on the 23rd that the region’s energy facilities were attacked by the Ukrainian forces and have been switched to backup power supply. Some facilities, due to the risk of explosions, need to be coordinated with the Russian military before repair work can be carried out. He also said that Vasylivka was shelled: a shell exploded inside the courtyard of a multi-story residential building, damaging the outer walls of the building, the surrounding area, and parked vehicles, with no casualties reported.
