KelpDAO’s cross-chain bridge was attacked, with losses exceeding $280 million. The attacker is believed to be North Korean hackers. Currently, the Arbitrum Security Council has recovered about $70 million worth of ETH assets. Aave founder Stani Kulechov said they are working to mitigate the risk through multiple approaches. The attacker is dispersing funds using multi-chain bridges and stablecoin conversion methods; some of the stolen ETH was bridged to Arbitrum via Across Protocol, then exchanged for USDT and flowed into the Tron ecosystem.
