My weekend trading plan: Go completely flat and do nothing
This weekend, I’m not even going to look at the charts. I’ll shut off the K-line chart and just carry on with whatever I should do.
To be real with you, the market is basically just ranging and grinding out a bottom. On the weekend there’s also no liquidity. Whether it’s up or down is all driven by emotion—people randomly pull it up or smash it down. There’s really no reliable pattern. Instead of sitting in front of the screen with your heart in your throat, it’s better to go completely flat and hold onto your money—that’s the most solid.
In my watchlist, I only watch BTC and ETH. I deleted all the other messy altcoins and scammy coins. In this kind of market, the garbage coins pump fast and dump even faster. Even if they rocket to the moon, I’m not going to feel jealous. I only trade the mainstream coins with good liquidity, so I’m confident.
Over the weekend, I’ll focus on just two things:
- Don’t let any sudden black swan events happen—for example, if the situation in the Middle East blows up again, or if the Federal Reserve suddenly turns hawkish;
- Recheck when the market opens on Monday to see if there are any definite opportunities. I will never blindly jump in early to catch the bag.
Putting it bluntly, trading isn’t everything in life. The weekend is for rest. Preserving your principal is more important than anything else. Going completely flat and doing nothing—that’s my top strategy for this weekend.
