The development team of Arc Raiders honestly shared an interesting product decision — they initially designed an auction-style trading market, but ultimately decided to dismantle it. Why? Because once this system went live, the entire game ecosystem would start revolving around coin prices and market trading, and players would no longer focus on the thrill of exploring, looting, and discovering new gear. The team realized that this orientation fundamentally contradicted the core fun of the game. So they made a decision: keep the trading feature but return it to simplicity and social interaction. No complex market mechanisms, no room for speculation — just direct interaction between players. In this way, loot looting and exploration adventures can become the true focus of the game.
