Recently, Kaito Yap has indeed made some adjustments at the algorithm level, but for an account like mine that doesn't update frequently, the experience isn't very noticeable. As long as the content has clear judgment and genuine output, the algorithm hasn't completely taken away the opportunity.
Since last month, I've noticed many creators continuously producing content around @Kindred_AI Yap activities. After observing for a while, my conclusion is: this is not a "frequency competition" leaderboard, but an activity that emphasizes "understanding and expression," which is also why I decided to participate.
The most commendable aspect of Kindred this time is that the rules are clear enough.
It doesn't adopt the vague incentive of "reward only the top 100 / 200" like many projects, but explicitly states:
All creators within the top 1000 of the leaderboard can receive rewards, and the reward range and distribution logic are completely transparent.
This is very important for mid-tier creators—you know where your effort should go and clearly understand the boundary between effort and reward.
From the current pace, this round of the Kindred Yap activity has likely entered the final stage. Although the official hasn't provided a clear deadline, both the community discussion heat and the participant structure changes seem more like a closing phase.
By the way, a quick note on my understanding of the Kindred project itself:
Kindred isn't just building a simple chat AI; it's trying to create a sustainable growth AI role relationship.
Users aren't just using a tool; they are establishing a long-term relationship with an agent that has memory, personality, and interaction continuity.
This is also why it is willing to directly invest incentives into the content and cognition layers, rather than simply buying traffic.
As for the results, time will tell.
But at least in the way community consensus is built, @Kindred_AI has provided a relatively clear and more creator-respecting solution this time.
