NetEase Says Goodbye to Long-Serving EVP as Gaming Chief Steps Down
NetEase Inc. (NTES, 9999.HK) has confirmed that Yingfeng Ding, who holds the position of Executive Vice President overseeing the Interactive Entertainment Group, will depart from the company by year-end 2025. This marks the conclusion of a remarkable 23-year tenure with the internet and gaming services firm.
Ding’s departure represents a significant transition for the company. Throughout his time at NetEase, the EVP played a pivotal role in developing the Interactive Entertainment Group—a cornerstone division within NetEase’s broader online gaming operations. Under his stewardship, the business segment achieved substantial expansion and helped solidify the company’s position in the competitive gaming sector.
Rather than making a complete exit, Ding will continue his association with NetEase in an advisory capacity during 2026, allowing for a smoother transition period. His final day in the executive role is set for December 31, 2025.
The departure of such a seasoned leader after more than two decades underscores the evolving dynamics within NetEase’s senior management. Ding’s contributions to shaping the company’s entertainment portfolio and sustaining growth momentum throughout his extended period of service have left a notable imprint on the organization’s trajectory.
