If you feel like a joke in the Crypto circle this year, don't be too upset. Coingecko's latest data shows: you're not alone, the entire industry is bleeding. But in this cycle, two narratives are indeed making money.

Comparing 2024 and 2025, two stories for two years—

What is 2024 called? Even pigs can fly. Out of the 8 major narratives, 7 are soaring—AI surged 2939%, Meme skyrocketed 2185%, RWA increased 819%. Back then, blindly buying was like a ticket to freedom. The only exception was Layer2, which fell 20% and was mocked as "king-level breakdown."

And what about 2025? The slaughterhouse opens. Among 11 major narratives, only RWA, Layer1, and Made in USA are rising. Everything else is blood: the highly anticipated DePIN was cut in half repeatedly, plunging 76%, and lost favor completely.

The Pig Flying story of 2024 is truly amazing; looking back now, it's all just pitfalls. DePIN being cut twice directly made me laugh out loud. Who would have thought? RWA and L1 survived; no matter how good the others sound, it's a dead end. The era of blindly buying is really over. So now, besides RWA, what else can we touch? It's hard to hold on; the pile I bought blindly in 2024 has now all turned into wallpaper. To be honest, RWA has truly been resilient against declines this wave; other narratives are just "storytelling." When DePIN was cut in half, I was still hoping for a rebound, but now I'm completely disheartened. I've been through it all, and the 2024 pig flying days have long been seen through. RWA and Layer1 survive? Wake up, this time is different, funds pools just change their disguises and come back. DePIN was cut by 76%, very similar to the EOS wave in 2018, and the project teams are still making big promises. When Layer2 was mocked for breaking even, I said then that now it has risen back, but who dares to gamble on contract risks? Only this time is truly rational. Closing your eyes and buying towards freedom? Ha, freedom is just liquidation. Another narrative cycle, the only ones still alive are those old things. New stories are all tired. When RWA rose by 819%, it was time to clear out. Now talking about surviving, it's too late. The only lesson the bear market taught me is not to believe the stories told by data, but to trust my own wallet. Seeing the blood red across the market, I am instead calm. This is the real Crypto.

The irony is that I spent 24 years buying AI and Meme, and now they have all become my "textbooks." Wait, is RWA really rising? I thought it was just another scam... DePIN from the altar to hell, so fast? That's hilarious, I was still listening to people praising it last year. Layer1 has survived, but what about my Layer2? I should have taken the advice earlier. It's another "only these two can make money," sounding just like promotional copy for certain coins, but... the data is right here, I believe half.
