The top income threshold in the U.S. for 2025 has been revealed: an annual salary of $794,000 is needed to enter the TOP 1%.

The latest data from the Social Security Bureau is here: To enter the elite circle of the top 1% income earners in the United States, you need an annual income of $794,129, which translates to a monthly salary of over $66k and a weekly salary of over $15k. However, this figure has decreased by 3.3% compared to last year—indicating that the growth of the wealthy is not as fast as that of ordinary people.

By the way:
👉 TOP 5% threshold: $352,000/year
👉 TOP 10% threshold: $148,000/year

In other words, an annual salary of $150,000 can exceed 90% of Americans, but it is still far from entering the "real wealthy circle".

The most heartbreaking thing is that where you live determines everything. With the same annual salary of 800,000, you might just enter the TOP 1% in Connecticut, but in West Virginia, you could already be one of the local wealthy. The threshold for the TOP 1% in Connecticut is 1.19 million dollars, while in West Virginia, it's only 435,000 dollars, a difference of over 750,000!

The gap between the rich and the poor is not just an income gap, but also a regional gap.
