Bitfarms announced that it will gradually shut down its Bitcoin mining operations over the next two years and transform its mining farms into artificial intelligence and high-performance computing (HPC) data centers. The company stated that its 18-megawatt Bitcoin mining farm located in Washington State, USA, will be the first to complete the conversion, expected to be completed by December 2026, at which point it will be fully utilized to support AI and high-performance computing operations. CEO Ben Gagnon stated that the potential revenue from this project may exceed the company's previous Bitcoin mining income. As a result, the company's stock price fell by about 18%. (Cointelegraph)
