Don't remind me again today

I just saw a quite interesting piece of news - Tether actually signed a cooperation protocol with the Da Nang municipal government in Vietnam.

This cooperation focuses on how blockchain technology can be applied to urban governance. Both parties are prepared to research how blockchain, digital assets, and P2P technologies can be integrated. Specific tasks include: helping to formulate relevant policies, creating a regulatory sandbox to test the waters, and exploring the tokenization of real-world assets (that's the RWA).

To be honest, there are not many cases where stablecoin issuers directly cooperate with local governments to promote digital infrastructure. This move in Da Nang is quite bold, and it seems to aim at securing a position in the blockchain landscape of Southeast Asia. Tether likely also sees the potential of the Vietnamese market, as a well-regulated environment would be beneficial for the entire industry.
