Ripple USD )RLUSD(, less than a year after its launch, has reached a significant milestone by exceeding a $1 billion market capitalization.
Ripple )XRP(, which achieved a major victory in its legal battle with the SEC, continues to make new achievements.
At this point, a stablecoin launched by Ripple, Ripple USD )RLUSD(, surpassed a $1 billion market cap less than a year after its release, marking an important milestone.
According to data, Ripple USD, officially launched in December 2024, has seen a remarkable growth of 1.278% since the beginning of the year in terms of market value.
In a post on X on Monday, Ripple stated that RLUSD reached a market value of one billion dollars in one year, is backed 1:1 by US Dollar, and is the most trusted and transparent stablecoin for institutions.
"With the participation of Ripple Prime, GTreasury, and Rail in this effort, RLUSD and XRP will promote faster, more efficient, and compliant payments worldwide. We are advancing the future of finance in this way."
While a $1 billion market cap is a major achievement for RLUSD, it still lags behind stablecoin giants like Tether )USDT(, with a market cap of $183 billion, and Circle )USDC(, with $75 billion.
