Mark Zuckerberg's compensation at Meta hit $27.22 million in 2024. Up from 2023. Interesting stuff from a SEC filing.
His base salary? Still $1. His choice. No bonuses or equity awards either. Most of the money? Security and private jets. Keeping the big boss safe, you know?
The pay gap's kind of wild. Zuckerberg made 65 times more than the average Meta employee. Seems a bit much, doesn't it?
Oh, and he's got some shares pledged. 12 million of them. Class B stock. It's for some debt thing. Not entirely clear why. It's about 3.5% of his shares, 0.5% of all Meta stock. Voting power? Around 2.1%.
It's a weird setup, really. The founder-CEO of this tech giant, and most of his "pay" is just keeping him safe and flying him around. Makes you think about what it means to be at the top.
