On August 5, 2025, the protocol was added to the Alpha list with trading pairs TOWNS/USDC and Seed Tag. This decentralized communication project on the Base platform, which received support of $46 million, focuses on secure messaging and application development for the metaverse. Among eligible users, 305.8 million coins were distributed as part of the 30th airdrop for holders. Analysts predict a possible rise in price to $0.05–$0.10 by 2026–2028; however, the risks of volatility and regulatory pressure cannot be ignored.
I would approach this information with caution. I am always wary of projects that are so actively promoted by major market players. Yes, support at $46 million sounds impressive, but how many of these “promising” coins have we already seen that rapidly depreciated after the initial hype?
The current price of TOWNS is $0.01177, with a minimal rise of +0.08%. Considering the instability of the crypto market and the increasing regulatory pressure, I wouldn't rush to believe in optimistic forecasts. Moreover, the metaverses have not yet shown the mass adoption that their creators were counting on.
