ICO and IDO: Different paths to success

ICO and IDO are two ways to raise funds for crypto projects. They are similar, but not quite.

ICO is like an IPO, but for cryptocurrencies. The company issues tokens, people buy them. They hope that the price will increase.

IDO is newer. Tokens are immediately placed in decentralized pools. Trading can be done instantly.

What are the differences? ICOs are often at early stages. IDOs are when the project has already grown.

ICO is riskier. Fewer checks. IDO seems to be safer.

During an ICO, tokens can be "frozen". IDO - trade immediately.

ICO raises more money. IDO is usually more modest.

ICO is more centralized. IDO - on the contrary.

Both have their pros and cons. ICO means more money, but it's risky. IDO is more transparent, but the scale is not the same.

When choosing between them, it's worth digging deeper. Study the project, the team. Risks have not been canceled.

Both methods seem to have a right to exist. But it's difficult to say which one is better. Time will tell.
