I've been through two crypto bull runs, and let me tell you - they're absolutely wild. Nothing quite compares to watching your portfolio skyrocket while everyone around you suddenly becomes a "crypto expert" overnight.

A bull run is when crypto prices shoot to the moon. Not gradually, not steadily - but in massive, adrenaline-pumping surges that make you question if you should quit your day job (spoiler: don't).

The Four Phases I've Personally Witnessed:

Accumulation - This is when the smart money quietly buys while everyone else is crying about their losses. I remember accumulating BTC at $3,800 after the 2018 crash while friends called me crazy.

Distribution - The whales start dumping on retail. The market becomes erratic. You ignore the warning signs because greed has taken over. Big mistake.

How You Know You're In The Middle of One:

• Your social feeds are nothing but laser eyes and rocket emojis
• Everyone experiences crippling FOMO
• Ridiculous projects raise millions in minutes
• Developers suddenly launch "revolutionary" tokens weekly

What Actually Happens:

• Institutional money floods in (sometimes even secretly)
• Newcomers finally jump in (usually too late)
• Quick profit opportunities appear everywhere (along with scams)
• The market becomes dangerously unpredictable

How to Play It (If You Dare):

• Get in early on solid projects with real utility
• Set strict take-profit targets (and actually stick to them)
• Launch that Web3 project you've been thinking about
• Learn technical analysis before risking serious money

Let's Be Real:

Bull markets make everyone feel like geniuses until they don't. I've watched friends mortgage homes to buy at the top and lose everything. The market doesn't care about your dreams.

Don't follow hype blindly. The loudest voices on social media are usually the most desperate sellers.

I watched the 2017 run turn ordinary people into millionaires and then back to ordinary again by 2018. The 2021 run was even more intense but just as fleeting.

Is the next one coming soon? The charts suggest yes, but the charts have fooled us before.
