Money-Making Market Periods: Past Patterns & What's Next

Abstract generation in progress

When you look at financial markets since 1900, certain profitable seasons jump out. Markets move in cycles. They always have. These patterns can help investors time their moves.

The bull run that kicked off in 2023? Still going strong. Bitcoin shot up from $15,000 in January 2023. Boom! That marked our current favorable cycle's beginning. If history means anything, this upswing might keep rolling until 2026. Then things could get rocky.

We seem to be heading toward a major economic shift globally. Not immediately though. The real financial storm? Probably 2026. Current economic troubles might ease after the 2024 elections. Markets typically love election periods. They tend to surge for about a year afterward. Kind of predictable, really.

The S&P 500 follows these weird fractal patterns. It's not entirely clear why. But the data suggests we might hit trouble around late 2025 into 2026. Markets have this stubborn habit of performing well before and after U.S. presidential elections. Global disasters and political mess? Markets shrug them off during these periods.

Elections happen November 2024. So markets should stay pretty solid through November 2025. After that? Keep your eyes open. Looking at 2025 seasonal patterns, late summer through fall offers good buying chances. And January? Prices typically jump then. Always have.

Understanding these cycles gives you an edge. Timing entries and exits matters. A lot.
