⚡Just finished watching "Catching the Wind and Chasing Shadows," it is indeed the most exciting action movie in recent years, five stars recommended!

It's quite surprising that the concept of cryptocurrency and mnemonic phrases is allowed to be presented so straightforwardly in the country, but there are a few points of criticism —

1️⃣ The story background is that Tony Leung's gang stole two secret keys, one for 500 million dollars worth of Bitcoin and the other for 10 billion from the CEO of Kuala Lumpur's largest exchange.

Regarding the key, the movie says "the password for cryptocurrency accounts is 12 English words," corresponding to the mnemonic phrase in web3.

In fact, the wallet's password, private key, and mnemonic phrase are three different things.

The plot says that the 10 billion assets are stored on the police station's server, and knowing the key is useless; one must go to the digital vault and enter those 12 words to extract.

Either the screenwriter has created an outrageous setting, or they really don't understand #Crypto.

In the world of cryptocurrency, the only keys to your assets are your wallet's private key and recovery phrase; there is no concept of money being stored on any server.

3️⃣ The key wallet settings in movies are different from real virtual wallets:

Finally, there are 11 known words, and we only need one word that starts with 'es' to successfully crack it.

According to the logic of BIP39 in reality, the order of the words is already fixed at the time of generation, and the last word can be completely brute-forced.

So the movie changed the setting; if you enter the wrong key once within the specified time, it will rearrange.

Overall, it's definitely worth a watch. Jackie Chan and Tony Leung combined are 140 years old, yet they can still deliver such spectacular fight scenes.

At the end of the show, the guy behind me was still telling his girlfriend that he had mined Bitcoin before. I think there might be more people who will start to understand our circle because of this movie!

In addition, I have memorized the 12 words. Does anyone want to try and see if there are 1.5 billion? If so, just give me one small target!
