On September 24, according to agency reports, a statement said that eight international oil companies operating in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq have reached a preliminary agreement with the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government to resume oil exports. The statement said that once the framework of the agreement is signed and implemented, it will allow for the resumption of exports "in the coming days."
