U.S. judge dismisses Trump's $15 billion lawsuit, allows amendment of the complaint.

On September 19, court documents showed that a U.S. judge dismissed President Trump's $15 billion lawsuit against The New York Times, allowing him to amend his complaint. The judge ruled that Trump's complaint violated federal rules and needed to provide a clear and concise statement to prove the plaintiff should be compensated. The judge stated, "The complaint is neither a public forum for abusive attacks nor a protected platform for attacking opponents." On September 15 local time, Trump posted on his social media, stating that he filed a $15 billion defamation lawsuit against The New York Times.
