[Polkadot sets a token cap, DOT implements a deflationary mechanism]

Market View:
Polkadot sets a token cap, and DOT moves towards a deflationary era. The Polkadot community has just made a historic decision. On September 15, they passed Proposal No. 1710 with a high vote of 81%, setting a total supply cap of 2.1 billion for the DOT Token.
This change is significant. Previously, Polkadot had no supply cap and issued a fixed 120 million DOT each year to incentivize validators and support parachain auctions. While this helped the network grow in its early stages, the unlimited inflation raised concerns among many about the dilution of token value. The new plan not only sets a hard cap but also introduces a decreasing issuance mechanism. In the future, new coin issuance will gradually decrease every two years until it reaches a cap of 2.1 billion.
This is clearly studying the deflationary model of Bitcoin. Supporting long-term value through the creation of predictable scarcity is a common feature of all successful crypto assets. For investors, an asset with a clear cap is obviously more attractive than one with unlimited inflation.

My point of view:
Still not optimistic about the long term. Brothers should have seen the news about this DOT and thought it would rise, but that's not the case. What meaning does a currency without value have, even if there are only 10 coins? Don't be tempted by a simple deflationary mechanism; what can support the coin price of a chain that has no meaning? Unless there are new developments in the future, I still do not have long-term optimism.
