Recently researched the #Crypto# live streaming track, and I have a few thoughts to share:

1/ The track is divided into three lines:

Infrastructure: @Livepeer, @thetan_world (solving transcoding + distribution costs, is a real necessity)

Platform type: @pumpdotfun, @SoulBound (live streaming + token incentives, strong short-term explosive power)

Data Layer: @StreamdataX (wants to monetize real-time data, the story is very new)

The traffic flywheel (live streaming → meme → trading) is indeed fierce, even drawing away some creators from Twitch/Kick. But the risks are equally significant, with regulation and volatility being potential hazards.

3/ On the contrary, projects like Livepeer and Theta, which are considered "slow projects", are quietly building a moat as AI video processing and edge computing explode. They may not be the most glamorous, but they are the ones that can truly survive.

4/ Soulbound TV is very similar to the prototype of StreamFi: NFT tickets + prediction market + tipping, and has already started running a profit model. If it can maintain retention, it may be the most similar to a Web2 startup in the sector.

5/ StreamDataX is a presale project that, to be honest, carries high risks, but the concept is somewhat similar to Chainlink back in the day: filling the gap of real-time data. If the team is reliable, it is worth keeping an eye on as a speculative bet.

Overall

Short-term highlights are in, long-term value looks at Livepeer/Theta, and mid-term opportunities may be Soulbound TV. The variable for the entire live broadcast sector is: Will AI + DeFi turn live streaming from "content" into a "financial scenario"?
