BSC (Binance Smart Chain) is a blockchain network launched by the globally renowned exchange Binance in September 2020. BSC features high performance and low transaction fees, supporting smart contracts and Decentralization applications (DApps), while being compatible with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), allowing developers to easily port applications from Ethereum to BSC.
The block generation speed of BSC is about 3 seconds, much faster than the traditional Ethereum mainnet, with its native token being BNB, widely used for paying transaction fees, participating in the on-chain ecosystem, and staking for rewards. BSC hosts many well-known projects and platforms, such as PancakeSwap and Venus, forming a rich DeFi ecosystem. Moreover, due to Binance's large user base and resource integration capabilities, BSC quickly became one of the most popular public chains, especially suitable for beginners and developers looking to experience DeFi and on-chain interactions in a low-cost environment.
