Oasys releases a technology roadmap for blockchain gaming infrastructure, focusing on three core directions.
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap, Aiming to Build Infrastructure for Blockchain Games
As a public chain focused on bringing traditional games into the Web3 space, Oasys recently unveiled its latest technical roadmap, marking an important milestone on the occasion of the project's second anniversary. This roadmap revolves around three core technical directions: application data availability, layer two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability.
Oasys's technical roadmap aims to address the main challenges faced in the current development of blockchain games. Although underlying blockchain technology has been continuously improved in recent years, there are still some technical shortcomings that need to be resolved in practical applications.
Three Strategies to Address the Technical Challenges of Blockchain Games
Ensure the continuity of game assets
With the popularity of modular architecture, the continuity of user assets has become a new issue. Oasys has proposed an innovative approach by mirroring game assets from layer two networks to layer one networks, providing permanent protection for user assets. Even if layer two data is lost, user assets remain secure.
Enhance the interoperability of Layer 2 networks
The second layer network of Oasys is called Verse Layer, with each being an independent "small universe". To achieve interoperability between these "small universes", Oasys plans to introduce cross-chain bridges, adopt universal data formats, and standardize APIs. This will enable users to easily and securely transfer data and assets between different games on Oasys.
Enhance the scalability of the ecosystem
Oasys works closely with ecosystem partners and existing Layer 2 network operators to provide them with the necessary tools and resources to support ecosystem development and reduce technical barriers. The Oasys Verse Development Kit (VDK) allows enterprises to quickly access high-quality Layer 2 networks, accelerating project launches and focusing on content development.
Short-term and Medium-term Technical Roadmap
Oasys's technical roadmap covers short-term (within 1 year) and mid-term (2-3 years) plans:
Short-term plan
mid-term plan
Oasys has made significant progress in short-term planning. In May, Oasys launched the L2 chain XPLA Verse, where several well-known gaming projects will be launched. In addition, the blockchain game "Captain Tsubasa -RIVALS-" based on the popular manga "Captain Tsubasa" was also officially launched on the Oasys platform.
In terms of expanding its ecosystem, Oasys has established partnerships with several large enterprises this year. Recently, Oasys announced a collaboration with a Japanese financial group aimed at increasing its influence in the Japanese crypto gaming and NFT market. In February of this year, Oasys also partnered with the Web3 gaming division of a South Korean internet giant to support its entry into the Japanese market.
These initiatives not only showcase Oasys's technological innovation and strategic vision in the blockchain gaming field but also highlight its determination to collaborate with industry-leading companies to jointly promote the development of blockchain games. As the technological roadmap is gradually implemented, Oasys is steadily realizing its vision of establishing global standards for blockchain games, creating real value for players and developers, while bringing new experiences and opportunities to the gaming industry.
