The greatest disaster in life is not because of insufficient kindness, but rather a shallow understanding of evil and inadequate defense against foolishness. In front of the wise, there are no chasms; the foolish face obstacles throughout their lives. Bad people commit evil, yet there are traces to follow, like a hidden dagger on a dark road, dangerous but avoidable with caution; foolish people, however, act like an invisible fog, making it hard to defend against. They use ignorance as a shield and recklessness as a blade, rampaging through the garden of goodwill, destroying the hard work of others in an instant, yet they still take pride in upholding justice.
