Casa Ventures Refutes Grok's Erroneous Claims: The Impact of OP_RETURN Restrictions on Bitcoin Block Size is Severely Misunderstood

In response to Grok’s post stating that “the Bitcoin block size is approximately 664 GB, increasing by about 72 GB per year, and removing the OP_RETURN limit could increase the block size by about 20%”, Casa co-founder Jameson Lopp posted on social media in response, stating: If you rely on artificial intelligence to explain the technical details of Bitcoin, then the experience must be terrible; this answer is complete nonsense. The block size data based on OP_RETURN is actually much smaller than the block size based on witness information.
