#ETH Breaks $2,700
The cumulative net inflow of capital into spot exchange-traded funds (ETF) for Bitcoin has reached a new all-time high. According to data from Farside Investors, the cumulative inflow of funds has exceeded $41.1 billion. The cumulative net inflow is considered from the moment the ETF was listed on the exchanges in January 2024.
Until recently, investors were pulling out of Bitcoin ETFs amid market uncertainty caused by U.S. tariffs and a decline in cryptocurrency prices. By mid-March, American Bitcoin exchange-traded funds recorded a five-week capital outflow, coinciding with a nearly 20% correction in Bitcoin's price.
In early April, there was also an outflow — in total, for the first half of the month, the net outflow of funds from American Bitcoin ETFs amounted to $737 million. However, after the market tension caused by trade wars eased, capital inflows into the funds resumed. Over the previous three weeks, the net inflow exceeded $5 billion, according to SoSoValue.
Although the cumulative net inflow is considered from the moment of the ETF listing on exchanges in January 2024, for example, the GBTC fund from Grayscale existed even before it became a trust. Since its listing as an ETF, this fund has recorded a net outflow of $22.95 billion.
At the same time, the net inflow into the ETF under the ticker IBIT from BlackRock has reached $44.78 billion. The inflow into the FBTC fund from Fidelity is $11.61 billion. In third place is ARKB from Ark Invest and 21Shares, with a net inflow of $2.69 billion.
The total value of bitcoins accumulated by American ETFs is $122.92 billion, or 5.92% of the market capitalization of the first cryptocurrency. Of this, the BlackRock fund accounts for $65.4 billion in net assets.
