Decentralized Finance protocol Likwid V2 has won the Decentralized Finance Innovation Champion by Uniswap Labs
ChainCatcher news, in the EthDenver 2025 Hackerthon, Likwid V2, a Decentralized Finance protocol developed based on Uniswap V4 Hook, won the top award in the Uniswap Labs Decentralized Finance Innovation track. The project integrates Decentralization exchange and lending protocol through innovative protocol architecture, realizing on-chain lending without the need for Oracle Machine for the first time. Likwid V2 uses Uniswap V4’s HOOK mechanism to allow users to collateralize pool assets, dynamically calculate interest rates and liquidation conditions, eliminating the reliance of traditional borrowing protocols on Oracle Machine. Its unaudited mechanism supports users to freely create short positions and continues the leverage trading function of previous products, effectively filling the industry gap of the missing short mechanism in the crypto market. It is reported that Likwid V2 is scheduled to launch on the mainnet in the second quarter of 2025, at which time it will open up permissionless lending pool creation functionality.
