LME copper futures closed up $58 at $14,273/ton today (August 24). Other metals showed mixed performance: aluminum fell $9 to $3,228/ton, while zinc and lead rose $12 and $13 respectively. Nickel declined $32 to $17,026/ton, tin dropped $143 to $55,748/ton, and cobalt closed flat at $56,290/ton.
