The Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi and the UAE National Security Adviser Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a meeting with the Director of Artificial Intelligence and Cryptocurrencies at the White House, David Oliver Sachs, who is also known as the "crypto king."

They discussed how artificial intelligence is changing various industries, as well as the growing role of cryptocurrencies in transforming financial systems and the new investment opportunities that arise from these innovations.

Let us remind you that in October 2024, the UAE abolished the value-added tax on cryptocurrency transactions. A number of services were exempted from VAT, including the transfer of ownership rights to virtual assets and the conversion of cryptocurrencies.

At the end of 2024, the trading platform eToro conducted a survey among retail investors in the UAE. It showed that 37% plan to increase the share of crypto assets in their portfolio.
