Microsoft's AI Revenue Heavily Dependent on OpenAI, With $24.1B Contribution in FY2026

According to Guru Club, Microsoft disclosed that OpenAI accounted for over $24.1 billion in AI revenue during the fiscal year ending June 2026. The disclosure, contained in a filing submitted last week, indicates that OpenAI's contribution represents more than half of Microsoft's actual AI sales, potentially accounting for approximately 70% of the total. Under their agreement, OpenAI pays Microsoft for computing resources, AI model development costs, and revenue sharing arrangements.
