Private Capital Inflows to Emerging Market AI Infrastructure Hit $8.8B in H1 2026, Surging Past 2025 Full Year

According to the Global Association for Private Capital, private equity, venture capital, and private credit funds channeled $8.8 billion into artificial intelligence projects in developing countries during the first half of 2026, exceeding the entire 2025 total. The inflow, which spans data centers and digital infrastructure across Latin America, Africa, and other regions, marks the highest level since records began in 2008.
