According to CNBC on August 5, Circle Internet Group announced the initial validator and partner lineup for its Arc blockchain network, securing major traditional finance institutions including BlackRock, NYSE parent ICE, Mastercard, Visa, U.S. Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC), Galaxy, Mastercard, Moneygram, SBI Group, Standard Chartered, and Sumitomo Corporation.
The network will launch on September 16. Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire stated the network will initially operate with 10-12 major validators and expand to 20-40 operators over time, with plans to introduce a decentralized governance model allowing ARC token holders to participate in staking and voting on infrastructure development.
