Monolith Targets $500M for Chinese AI Fund, Aims to Close by Year-End

According to Bloomberg, Monolith Management, a Hong Kong and mainland China-based venture capital firm, is seeking approximately $500 million for a new fund focused on Chinese artificial intelligence, with a target close by the end of 2026 yesterday (August 5). The firm previously raised $289 million for its prior fund in 2025. Monolith has backed AI startup Moonshot, known for its Kimi K3 model, as well as robotics companies Beatbot and D-Robotics.
