KOSPI Surges 3.76% on August 5 as Foreign Investors Net Buy 1.45 Trillion Won

According to Korea Exchange, KOSPI surged 3.76% to close at 6598.26 on August 5, with intraday gains exceeding 4%. Foreign investors led the rally with net purchases of 1.45 trillion won. Top-bought stocks included SK Hynix, Samsung Electronics, and Hyundai Mobis.

The buying momentum was bolstered by strength in U.S. technology stocks. Overnight, concerns about artificial intelligence investments eased on Wall Street, with semiconductor shares gaining alongside U.S. tech rallies.
