According to CNBC, host Jim Cramer announced on air today he is selling his Bitcoin over fears of quantum computing after interviewing IBM CEO Arvind Krishna. Krishna told Cramer to "give yourself three or four years," after which he should "get rather paranoid" about quantum computers potentially cracking Bitcoin's cryptography. Cramer responded by deciding to sell his holdings, noting Ethereum might face "even worse" risks. Bitcoin rose 1.6% the day Cramer announced the move. Crypto traders responded with the "inverse Cramer" joke, betting the opposite of his recommendation would prove correct. Cramer previously liquidated all his crypto in December 2022 near $16,800, only to see Bitcoin gain over 400% in the following three years.
