Netflix is planning to produce a movie based on the 2022 FTX collapse.

According to Beincrypto, streaming giant Netflix is preparing to shoot a film based on the 2022 FTX collapse incident, which is currently in the crucial casting stage. Emmy Award winner Julia Garner is expected to portray the convicted former CEO of Alameda Research, Caroline Ellison, while "Dahmer – Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story" star Evan Peters may play Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF). Oscar-winning screenwriter Graham Moore is in discussions to take on the writing duties. It is reported that the film will use a romantic storyline as a narrative framework to depict how this cryptocurrency empire, once valued at $32 billion, collapsed in just two weeks. If Garner confirms her involvement, it will mark her second portrayal of a financial fraud case protagonist after "Inventing Anna." Industry insiders point out that the project is still in the early development stages, and about 60% of the screenplays initiated in Hollywood each year ultimately do not get produced.
