Odaily News On February 12th, the specialized institutional event "Gate Institutional Circle: CrossEx · Next-Gen Cross-Exchange Trading Infrastructure" hosted by Gate concluded in Hong Kong. The event focused on institutional-grade infrastructure construction, cross-exchange unified account systems, and collaboration models, exploring the development path for the industry towards a more mature stage.

Gate announced that Gate Technology Ltd, its Malta-based entity, has officially obtained a Payment Institution license under the EU's Second Payment Services Directive (PSD2) from the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA). This milestone places Gate among one of the crypto-native companies in Europe to secure this level of regulatory approval, reinforcing its long-term strategy to bridge legacy finance and Web3 infrastructure across the continent.

According to the official announcement, Gate TradFi will optimize certain CFD trading parameters on March 11, 08:00 (UTC) to further enhance market depth and improve the trading experience. The update mainly focuses on expanding single-order trading and increasing the number of positions users can manage.

Gate, has released the 2nd episode of "Behind Gate: Dr. Han", a documentary video that truly records the 72 hours of the platform's Founder and CEO Dr. Han, during Consensus HK.

According to the official announcement, Gate TradFi adjusted several CFD contract trading parameters at 16:00 on March 11 (UTC+8) to further strengthen market depth and deliver a better trading experience for users.

CoinDesk’s latest exchange report shows that in February 2026, Gate further expanded its derivatives trading volume, raising its market share to 12.2%—a record high. The increase in derivatives market share reached 0.95%, placing Gate among the world’s top two exchanges.

According to the Crypto Exchange Transparency Ranking released by Web3 asset data platform RootData, global leading digital asset trading platform Gate ranked second in the latest evaluation.

To further enhance the multi-asset trading experience and strengthen cross-market trading capabilities, Gate continues to upgrade its TradFi product ecosystem. A new round of asset expansion and leverage mechanism optimization has now been officially completed.

According to the Crypto Exchange Transparency Ranking released by Web3 asset data platform RootData, global leading digital asset trading platform Gate ranked second in the latest evaluation. Gate scored 80.6 in the comprehensive assessment of transparency and liquidity indicators, recorded an average 7-day trading volume of around $18 billion for a single asset category.

In the "Best Platforms for Institutional Crypto Trading 2026" ranking released by the leading crypto media BeInCrypto, Gate Institutional was named "Best for institutional trading" and ranked first overall.
