$BTC 2026 On October 18, 2026, global capital markets saw a tug-of-war between bulls and bears. Risks tied to AI data center debt continued to build, prompting markets to reassess the long-term return prospects of computing-power capital expenditure. CoreWeave’s credit spreads widened sharply, sparking concerns over the safety of AI infrastructure assets, while U.S. AI chip stocks came under pressure and traded unevenly. Earnings season for major tech companies kicks off this week, with industry leaders including Meta, Tesla, and Netflix set to report third-quarter results, making their earnin

The market only reveals itself as it unfolds; your guesses are basically always wrong. The great way is simple.
Eclair patches browser attack that could send commands to your Lightning node
Eclair v0.14.4, released Oct. 15, patches a cached-authentication route that could let malicious webpages issue authenticated node commands through an operator's browser.
The vulnerability requires an enabled Eclair API reachable by the operator's browser, with HTTP Basic credentials already cached. Eclair's node API can read node state, open and close channels, and send and receive payments.

Gold at $4,165—have you been driven crazy?
It hit a wall at $4,200 three times, 10-year Treasury yields are crushing it at 5.1%, and everyone online is shouting “the gold bull market is dead”—but the PBOC has been quietly buying for 23 months, and oil has surged to $110. Who do you think is lying?
First, the surface picture: trapped between two directions, grinding away until you question your sanity.
Spot gold is now at $4,165, after closing around $4,163 on Friday, down for the week. It’s up a slight 0.4% over 24 hours, but has already pulled back 23% from its early-year high of $5,400+. The

The S&P 500 closed at 7,659.44 points last Friday, down 1.9% for the week—giving back about 148 points based on the closing level. The Nasdaq fell 2.1% over the same period. This pullback isn’t noise; it at least shows that the market is starting to reprice risk. More importantly, a signal has emerged, but one confirmation is still missing: with a packed earnings calendar this week, the AI trade is about to face a real test.
I’m watching the volatility compression in the run-up to the open. Typically, volatility gets compressed for a while before the U.S. market opens: futures trade in a narro

It’s already 2026, and Rust and Go can both be run with a single command in the terminal, yet iOS development is still shackled to the tens-of-gigabytes-sized Xcode.
I just came across the open-source gem xtool on GitHub, with 11.8k stars. Built on SwiftPM and XKit, it lets you compile, automatically sign, and install apps on a real iPhone by typing a few commands in a Linux or Windows terminal. If you’re fed up with Xcode, give it a try!

US September PPI came in at 6.3% YoY, well above the 5.3% market expectation, pointing to renewed producer-side inflation pressure. Weekly jobless claims were 199K, broadly in line with forecasts. Could hotter inflation further reduce room for rate cuts, and what does it mean for $BTC, US stocks, and gold?
