The backdrop was the Fed’s rate hike taking effect, coupled with $520 million in combined net outflows from Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs, while technical indicators turned neutral.
Support levels matter because they are the true zone where positions change hands: if the price does not break below it, that means there is capital willing to buy here. Whether it can move higher still depends on when ETF fund flows turn around.

BTC is currently trading around the $78K zone after a strong recovery. Price is now approaching a key resistance area, so I’m watching for a reaction before taking any directional bias.
If BTC holds above the current support zone and breaks the nearby resistance with confirmation, bullish momentum can continue. However, if price gets rejected and loses the key support area, a deeper pullback toward lower support levels could follow.
With the US session approaching, volatility may increase, so keep an eye on volume and the 1H candle close for confirmation.

The Fed just delivered a 25 bps hike, while Goldman Sachs now expects another hike in October. The 2Y Treasury yield climbed to 4.734%, while the 10Y yield has moved above 5%, keeping liquidity conditions tight.
At the same time, BTC’s short-term holder cost basis sits around $70K. Losing that level could put newer holders underwater and increase selling pressure.
Yet traders are still positioning for volatility, with Bitcoin Open Interest rising after the FOMC.
