Gate Ranked Top 10 In Exchange Volumes Report (12/2018) Of BTI

The latest Exchange Volumes Report (12/2018) from Blockchain Transparency Institute (BTI) showed that the actual trading volume of gate.io in December has ranked 10th in the global exchanges. This time, BTI has added data collected from exchanges on mobile app usage and API trading, and conducted an in-depth research on some data points, such as the specific trading pairs.



According to BTI, about 80 % of the trading volume of the top 25 BTC trading pairs in CMC (CoinMarketCap) had been wash trading. A number of well-known exchanges have not been included in the list due to data fraud. Moreover, 57 exchanges were moved to the Exchange Advisory List as engaging in volume wash trading. BTI also indicated that they have been constantly updating and refining algorithms to ensure that the data is as accurate as possible.
