BlockBeats News: On June 9, Bitcoin financial services platform Avalon Labs announced that it had officially burned 80 million governance tokens AVL, worth about $16 million, accounting for 44% of the current total circulation. The tokens burned this time are mainly the shares that were not claimed by users during the airdrop. Avalon Labs launched a governance token airdrop in March 2024, attracting more than 100,000 users to participate in the collection, and has successfully distributed $20 million worth of AVL. With the end of the event, the remaining 80 million unclaimed tokens will be officially burned to control the token supply into a deflationary cycle and further consolidate the long-term value foundation of AVL
