A strategy delivers consistent profits and has a beautiful backtest curve, but a few months later, the same parameters and signals start producing frequent losses in live trading.

Is the problem really with the strategy itself?

Not necessarily. A strategy’s effectiveness often depends on the market environment it operates in, not on how much profit it has generated in the past.

There are at least four market conditions worth watching:

A One-Year Plan for a Small Account (Follow It, Don’t Skip Steps)
Don’t set profit targets; set behavioral goals. You can’t control profits, but you can control your behavior.
