When I looked at $SOXLB again, I first blocked out the 24-hour -10.99%. It’s not that this number doesn’t matter, but it’s too easy to let it steal your attention. What really needs explaining right now is that $SOXLB is oversold, but there’s still no stabilization to confirm a bottom. I treat oversold conditions only as a reason for a rebound, not proof of a bottom; only after it stops making new lows is it worth talking about a turning point.
