🏛️ SEC DELAYS KEY CRYPTO REGULATION MEETING
The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has canceled its August 14 meeting that was scheduled to consider proposed rules for certain crypto asset offerings.
The SEC cited an “unforeseen scheduling issue” and said the meeting would be moved to a later date, but no new date has been announced yet.
The proposal, known as “Regulation Crypto,” could create a tailored regulatory framework for certain digital-asset investment contracts.
The cancellation comes shortly after the U.S. Senate delayed action on the CLARITY Act until September.
