To further enhance the flexibility and strategy performance of Perpetual Futures trading, Gate Perp DEX has officially launched "Split Position Mode." This mode lets users hold positions across multiple sides and modes simultaneously within the same Perpetual Futures Marketplace, meeting the needs of more diverse trading strategies and helping users manage their positions and risk more flexibly.
Feature Highlights
The Split Position Mode lets users manage different strategy positions within the same Marketplace, improving capital efficiency and trading flexibility.
1. Up to 4 independent positions per Marketplace
Users can hold the following simultaneously under the same Perpetual Futures Marketplace:
- Cross Long
- Cross Short
- Isolated Long
- Isolated Short
Supports concurrent positions across multiple sides and multiple modes.
2. Supports mixed Cross and Isolated positions
The same Marketplace supports both Cross and Isolated modes simultaneously.
Where:
- You can set different leverage for Isolated Long and Isolated Short.
- Leverage settings for Cross and Isolated positions are independent of each other.
- Different positions do not affect each other.
Helps users achieve more flexible strategy combinations and position management.
To ensure proper functionality, please update Gate App to v8.20.0 or above.
Risk and Margin Details
1. Isolated Position Risk Isolation
Different isolated margin positions will be handled independently:
- Margin
- Risk Limit
- Liquidation Trigger
Manage separately; positions do not affect each other.
2. Cross Position Risk Sharing
Cross Long and Cross Short under the same Marketplace:
- Shared Cross Margin Pool
- Shared Risk Limit
Please manage your position risk appropriately.
Instructions
- On the Futures Trading page, click Position Mode in the top right corner.
- Select the operation type in the pop-up window and click Confirm.
