Gate Research: BTC Options Turnover Surges, Structural Rotation Continues

• Stock Market: All three major U.S. indices advanced, led by AI and semiconductor shares: AMD gained 9.95% and Cloudflare rose 8.67%, while oil and gas shares weakened. The Hang Seng Index gained 1.18% and southbound funds recorded aggregate net buying of HK$4.074 billion. South Korea’s KOSPI rose 1.65% to regain 7,000, with Samsung Electronics up 4.98%, while batteries and autos came under pressure.

• Market Commentary: BTC returned above 86,000 USDT, up 5.38% over 24 hours. Estimated 24-hour BTC options turnover was approximately $263.72 million, up 1,808.8% from the previous day, with calls continuing to dominate activity. ETH gained 2.74%. Total crypto market capitalization was approximately $2.936 trillion, BTC dominance was 59.12%, and the Altcoin Season Index was 62.

• Trending Tokens: AURORA, AIOZ and ZETA gained 166.32%, 55.65% and 42.67%, respectively. AURORA and AIOZ recorded hourly RSI readings of 79.57 and 84.78. ZETA’s Proposal 68 passed with 99.4% support and 58% participation; it proposes a 1:1 conversion of ZETA into a native Solana SPL token.

• Alpha Insights: BitMine added 27,562 ETH, taking its holdings close to 5% of Ethereum’s circulating supply. Strategy purchased 950 BTC using cash reserves. Coinbase opened IPO allocation applications to eligible U.S. retail customers, with Oura as the first example; actual allocations remain subject to eligibility, demand and final allocations.
