$CL Rally meets resistance; policy pressure has bears poised to strike!
Trading Recommendation
Direction: Short
Entry: 100.50 - 101.50 (aggressive, near the current price), 102.50 (conservative, add on a rebound)
Targets: 96.50 in the short term; 94.50 if support breaks
Rationale: The previous high at 101.61 and Trump's policy to suppress oil prices form dual resistance. Shorts are extremely crowded, and stalled upside could trigger synchronized selling pressure from longs taking profits and shorts getting relief. #BTC跌破8.2万 Bitcoin at $81,570: Has the CPI Shock Been Priced In, or Is $80,000 the Next Test?
Bitcoin’s move below $82,000 has shifted the market’s focus from the possibility of a $90,000 rally to the strength of the current support structure. Trading near $81,570, BTC is facing a combination of renewed US inflation pressure, changing Federal Reserve expectations, and uncertainty over leveraged positioning. The critical distinction is whether the market has already absorbed the inflation shock or whether another round of selling could follow.

October 17 $BTC Comprehensive Market Analysis
💫News:
CPI impact continues: September CPI rose to 3.7% year over year, with core CPI up 0.3% month over month; a sharp rise in gasoline prices contributed most of the increase
Markets are repricing the probability of a Fed rate hike in October (27–28), and risk appetite is declining
💫Fund Flows:
U.S. spot Bitcoin ETFs saw cumulative net outflows of about $535M in October. Recent flows: about +$175.6M on October 13, about -$261.5M on October 14, then a small net inflow of about +$5.1M on October 15. Net outflows totaled about $125–145M over roug

It's pouring so hard; I can't go anywhere again today.
This move in gold is definitely interesting. The policy combination coming out of India lately is worth a closer look: the Reserve Bank of India has proposed that gold funds and ETFs no longer be backed by physical gold, while SEBI has notified asset management companies to restrict new retail investments in gold and silver funds. Taken together, the message isn’t complicated: demand for gold in India is so strong that there isn’t enough physical gold to go around, so they have to start by tightening the spigot on “paper gold.”
India is already one of the world’s biggest gold-consuming markets

Hey everyone, did you take advantage of this pullback to build or add to your Bitcoin positions?
Strive added over 7,000 BTC in two weeks, and the race among public companies to stack coins is still accelerating.
TD Cowen raised its price target for Strive (ASST) from $44 to $56. The company’s BTC holdings have grown to 35,595, worth about $2.9 billion based on reported figures, making it the fourth-largest public-company holder—slightly ahead of MARA.
But interestingly, despite the positive news, ASST still fell 6.6% on Friday, closing at $23.96. The share dilution pressure from warrant exerc

Why can some investors make money over the long term without predicting the market?
Harry Browne proposed an extremely simple strategy:
25% stocks, 25% long-term Treasury bonds, 25% gold, 25% cash.
Stocks thrive during economic booms, Treasury bonds during deflation,
gold during inflation, and cash during recessions.
You don’t predict when the next storm will hit;
you simply make sure you’re prepared to weather it.
A 54-year backtest of the U.S. market shows:
an annualized return of about 9.2% and a maximum drawdown of about 14.9%.
It’s not the highest-returning strategy, and it certainly does

Scumbag Watch: BTC Update 10.17
Bitcoin hit a high around 82800 yesterday, then dropped to 80800. The Scumbag’s strategy seems to have been pretty accurate, but after opening a position, the Scumbag felt the entry wasn’t ideal and didn’t continue. Last night, when the price reached around 82500, the Scumbag didn’t open another position either.
I wonder if any fellow Scumbags followed along.
Now let’s see how things go next week. The big bullish candle from 9.18 is currently providing support, and it has held several times already. Of course, we can’t rule out the support failing and the price

This damn market really knows how to torture people.
Yesterday and today, I kept firmly urging everyone to short. Bitcoin was still fine, rising only 1% at most, or 800–900 points.
It was just ETH that bounced around more actively, rising about 3% more than Bitcoin.
Luckily, I didn’t go long; otherwise, I’d have ended up buying near the ceiling again.
It broke below 80,000 yesterday, and I thought there would be a rebound, but the strength of this rebound was indeed higher than expected. This damn market is really something.
Today it oscillated at high levels for another whole day. I’m sure so

These LLM proxy platforms are seriously outrageous. On the surface, they advertise, “Pay 100 yuan and get $100 worth of tokens,” but in reality, they usually inflate the token usage figures when calculating consumption
As shown in the image below, I only had a brief conversation, yet the reported token usage claimed that I had consumed 140k tokens (anyone with basic common sense knows that in this situation, it would only consume a few hundred to a thousand)
I paid 100 yuan, and it was almost used up in a single evening. I didn’t even ask Opus 5.5 to perform any complex tasks. What a rip-off

US September PPI came in at 6.3% YoY, well above the 5.3% market expectation, pointing to renewed producer-side inflation pressure. Weekly jobless claims were 199K, broadly in line with forecasts. Could hotter inflation further reduce room for rate cuts, and what does it mean for $BTC, US stocks, and gold?
