Ethereum's showing serious bottom strength lately so I'm back on some cases for ETH to stop being the high-beta loser against BTC and actually lead the market.
First, float's getting strangled:
– 41M ETH staked, a record 34% of supply
– @BitMNR holds 5.74M ETH, around 4.8% of supply, with 85% staked
– exchange reserves at a 10-year low
– DATs + ETFs already locking ~9% of circulating supply
– more ETH stuck in DeFi collateral and bridges
Overlap between these buckets sure, but ETH can be nominally inflationary at ~0.8% while the actual sellable float just keeps getting smaller.
