Ethereum is consolidating weakly after breaking down, coming under continued pressure from the intraday high of 2445 and falling to test support at 2368 before triggering an oversold rebound. It is currently trading at 2393. Unlike BTC’s systemic correction driven by macro expectations, and unlike gold’s broader-asset pricing based on safe-haven demand, ETH, as a core asset in the crypto ecosystem, combines beta characteristics with smart-contract ecosystem valuation. In addition to following broader market volatility, this downturn has been compounded by a recent marginal decline in DeFi tota

#ETHDropsBelow2400
ETH slipping below $2,400 looks ugly on the chart, but after checking the structure and the broader market, I think the more important question is not “how much has ETH dropped?” It is whether this move is simply unwinding excess leverage after a strong rally, or whether the market is beginning to change the larger trend.
ETH is trading around $2,400 today, with the latest CoinMarketCap data showing roughly a 4.6% decline over the last 24 hours. The previous daily close was around $2,514, so the market has given back a meaningful part of the recent move in a relatively shor

#FedAnnounceRateDecisionSoon
The Fed hike itself may not be the biggest market event tonight. What matters more is what comes after the 25 bps decision.
My current market view is that the Fed is more likely to raise rates by 25 basis points, taking the policy range from 3.50%–3.75% to 3.75%–4.00%. The reason I’m leaning this way is simple: markets are already pricing a very high probability of a hike, while oil prices have created another inflation risk that the Fed cannot completely ignore.
But this is where it gets interesting.
August core CPI came in at 0.3% month over month and 2.4% year

Every transaction is burning APT, yet the price is still -7.6%: How much weight does $6.9 billion in trading volume carry?
Ridiculous—the price hasn’t moved at all half an hour after the bullish announcement, $APT —currently at 0.529, down 7.679% over 24h. I’m bearish; if 0.524 breaks, I’ll trade it lower.
One-sentence event—Aptos Labs announced: the ecosystem platform DecibelTrade has surpassed $6.9 billion in cumulative trading volume, with every transaction burning APT.
The more trading, the more burning, which should be bullish. Yet the market showed no reaction: after the event, APT moved

📉 $XRP BUYERS NEED TO PROVE THEMSELVES HERE
XRP is currently trading around the $1.28–$1.31 area, and the short-term structure is looking more corrective after the sharp rejection from the recent highs.
The zone I’m watching most closely is $1.25–$1.28.
If buyers can defend this area and push XRP back above $1.37–$1.40, the structure could start improving again.
But if $1.25 support gives way, the downside pressure could increase and the next major demand area comes into focus.
For now, I’m staying cautious/bearish on the short-term trend rather than forcing a bullish view.

Fear & Greed Index: 51, neutral. NIL is currently priced at 0.03965, down 3.27% over 24h, with trading volume at only 0.4M. MA5 has crossed below MA20, RSI at 37.6 is relatively weak, the MACD bearish histogram has not narrowed, and the funding rate is +0.0050%, meaning longs are still paying. Neither sentiment nor the broader market is providing support. $NIL is currently near the lower Bollinger Band at 0.03953; a light long position can be cautiously attempted on a short-term rebound, but insufficient volume requires quick entry and exit. BTC vs ETH: Why Volume Matters
Most traders watch price.
I watch volume too.
Right now, Bitcoin is doing roughly $33B in 24h volume, while Ethereum is around $16.5B.
That means BTC has roughly 2x the trading activity.
But volume doesn’t tell you where price will go.
It tells you how much participation is behind the move.
Price = direction.
Volume = participation.
A price move on low volume can lack strong participation.
A move with rising volume means more capital is actively trading.
That’s why the $BTC vs $ETH volume gap is worth watching.
If ETH starts closing that gap, it means trading act

There are more and more flexible savings products on Gate. Idle Money, Coin Savings, and GUSD may look similar in name, but their positioning is completely different. #CLARITYActFailsToPass
CLARITY failed to clear the Senate hurdle. But I don't think the real story is simply “crypto regulation is dead.”
The U.S. Senate voted 49–50 on September 15 on cloture for the motion to proceed to H.R. 3633, the Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act. The bill needed 60 votes to advance, so it failed to clear that procedural threshold. Four Republicans joined Democrats in voting against the motion.
That distinction matters.
This vote tells us that the legislation did not advance through this procedural step. It does not, by itself, prove that the broader push for U.S. crypt
