Midterm elections are underway; opportunities in crypto and US stocks during tonight's trading session

Regarding SanDisk, my view is that it failed to close back above the key level of 1175 last Friday. The previous low of 972 on the chart will be broken, with possible support around 910. It still needs a few more days to fall.

Bitcoin is around 76800, with an important support level tonight. If it can hold above 77500 before the U.S. market closes or at tomorrow’s 8 a.m. daily close, a further drop is unlikely. If support fails here, it may retest the broader support around 75200 in the near term.

How to trade the Super Market Week? Which will lead the breakout: US stocks, gold, BTC, or ETH? Focus on election results, non-farm payroll expectation gaps, and tech earnings.

Key points this week
1. U.S. stocks have switched to winter hours: pre-market 17:00-22:30, regular session 22:30-05:00 the next day, and after-hours 05:00-09:00. The market opens 1 hour later than during daylight saving time and also closes 1 hour later.
2. Monday-Tuesday: ISM Manufacturing PMI at 23:00 Monday; U.S. midterm elections on Tuesday, so for now we can only look ahead, with results due Wednesday morning; JOLTS at 23:00 Tuesday; Apple earnings at 05:30 early Wednesday.
3. Wednesday-Thursday: ADP employment report during the day Wednesday, Uber pre-market at 21:00, and ISM Services PM

With gold and silver falling like this and the weekly close looking so ugly, the next two weekends also happen to coincide with the crypto market’s monthly candle closes. Watch for volatility in crypto over the weekends as funds pull out and a sharp sell-off unfolds. It may be time to start building an initial position in spot gold and silver.

Intel's earnings fell short of expectations, and its stock plunged 20% in after-hours trading. U.S. stocks have been making one-way moves around earnings announcements over the past two days: Google yesterday, and Intel and Amazon today. The moves have been very direct, with no wicks in either direction, and the profits on the winning side have been huge. Have you tried opening both long and short positions at 4, with a stop-loss? The profit on the winning side would far exceed the loss on the stopped-out side.

Google livestream clip from last night: I anticipated bearish news before the earnings release and went long around 290. If it moves up from here into profit, you can add a breakeven stop first to avoid another downward wick before the U.S. stock market opens for premarket trading at 4 p.m. today. Set the take-profit around 313 for now.$GOOGL

Google reports earnings tonight: revenue of $127.6 billion, up 25% year over year and roughly in line with expectations; cloud revenue of $30.7 billion, doubling year over year and beating expectations. The miss was EPS: $2.12 versus $3.02, mainly due to an $8.7 billion loss on equity investments—not a collapse in its core business. What the market really dislikes is cash flow: quarterly capex of $51.4 billion, free cash flow of -$9.1 billion, and search growth slowing to 12%. In short: operations are solid, AI spending is too aggressive, and the returns have yet to materialize—much like Meta'

META: The bill is down, not the fundamentals
Q3 revenue rose 26% to $64.6 billion, with both ad volume and pricing up. But $9.89 billion in legal expenses and $34.9 billion in quarterly capex pushed free cash flow into negative territory, sending the stock down 7% to around $642.
The upside lies in two areas: first, its in-house MTIA chips, developed with Broadcom through 2029 and manufactured by TSMC, with gigawatt-scale deployment starting in 2027 to cut costs on high-frequency inference tasks like ad recommendations; second, Muse, which can book tickets, place orders, and handle tasks in th

Gold and silver had an extremely ugly close on Friday, while crude oil closed with a big bullish candle, so I can understand and see why crypto dipped over the weekend. But what does that have to do with my US stock contracts? They freaking dumped too 🤔

Gold and silver holding steady is necessary, but not sufficient. Only once they stabilize will the tech sector have a foundation for recovery; for Meta to truly find its footing, it still needs to clarify the math on its AI investment and returns.
